Do Business: Opportunities in Indonesia

26 October
08.00-09.00
Brunnsgatan 2, Stockholm
Internationell handel
For the past two decades Indonesia has experienced remarkable democratic and economic progress and is Southeast Asia's largest economy. Today, with its over 260 million people, Indonesia is the world's fourth most populated country and is becoming an increasingly important market for Swedish companies looking to enter or expand in the region.

Indonesia's rapidly growing middle class, coupled with stable economic growth, has led to companies paying increasing attention to this dynamic archipelagic nation.

Significant investments, both public and private, in the area of infrastructure has created big opportunities for Swedish companies. The retail sector and the manufacturing industry have also proven to be successful areas for Swedish businesses.

Challenges exist, however, and should not be overlooked. However with a prudent approach and a sound understanding of the local context, Swedish companies have for many years made Indonesia into a lucrative market. The potential is certainly there and more Swedish companies need to join the Indonesian growth journey in order to stay competitive – in Indonesia as well as in ASEAN.
