Southern Africa, also known as the Southern African Development Community (SADC) â is a regional economic block consisting of 16 Member States with a combined GDP of USD 575.5 Billion. The EU is the regionâs largest trading partner with an exclusive trading agreement signed between the EU and some of the SADC member states. SADC countries occupy 8 of the top 10 rankings on Ease of Doing Business in Sub-Saharan Africa for 2018 and have continued to show policy improvements towards industrialization and service delivery.
While the SADC region boosts uniformity in trade policy, each market is different and requires a different approach.
