Maria Ă€r vd i Stockholms Handelskammare samt styrelseledamot i StockholmsmĂ€ssan, Business Sweden och Pop House AB. Innan Maria kom till Handelskammaren var hon vd fĂ¶r Stiftelsen Fritt NĂ€ringsliv/Timbro. DessfĂ¶rinnan var hon delĂ€gare i det snabbvĂ€xande konsultfĂ¶retaget Prime PR. Maria Ă€r Ă€ven kolumnist i Svenska Dagbladet och medfĂ¶rfattare till nya boken Uppdrag FĂ¶rĂ€ndring (Lava 2016). Maria har en fil kand i statskunskap frĂ„n Uppsala universitet samt har genomgĂ„tt Stanford Executive Program pĂ„ Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Maria Rankka is the CEO of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, one of SwedenÂs leading business organizations. She is also a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science. In addition, she is a columnist in Svenska Dagbladet. She serves on the Board of Directors of several companies and organizations. Maria has championed the concept of Global Cities in Sweden and worked to promote a better understanding of the new economic geography. Before joining the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Maria was the CEO of Timbro, a free market think tank. Maria has previously been a partner in the public relations firm Prime. Prior to that she worked for Carl Bildt, SwedenÂs former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. She was born in 1975 and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Uppsala University and has completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
